I have to say right away that I'm not even a radio amateur, just a radio amateur. I find radio much more romantic and captivating than modern broadcasting methods. Staying up late and spinning the dial with the soft glow of the tuner, the sound of hissing and mystery that can sometimes accompany radio broadcasts, offers something truly authentic that you can't get anywhere else today. That feeling is priceless and cannot be repeated (if it were even a word). Either way, this is a good quality radio and has the features you need to get more done than most. If you like radio like me, a clock radio, boom box, or home stereo won't work for you. If you get what I'm talking about then this radio is for you. I've been up many nights listening to Coast to Coast AM online but lacked the feeling that something like this radio will give you. I couldn't select a station on my home stereo to listen to CTC and had to use the internet. The Internet provided a clear, stereo sounding broadcast, and it was very clear. Radio CC has been on the program for many years. I finally bought it and am very happy with its performance. I can now pick up coast-to-coast AM broadcasts with all the nuance I've come to expect from late-night radio broadcasts. When interesting speakers talk about exciting topics, a crystal-clear internet transmission doesn't touch you inside. The use of CC radio, light static, light fade in and fade out and all the other fantastic sensations that you can only get with a real radio can make you feel and even give you goosebumps. There is only one thing a good, reliable radio can do for you that nothing else can and CC Radio delivers 100%. You won't be disappointed and I really need to get my driver's license.
