I recently discovered Tony's Coffee (espresso noir flavor) and have been drinking it in my cuisinart coffee maker every day. It was good, but I wanted to try the slower, traditional method of making coffee and see if it tasted different. I chose a French press (it's from Aerolatte - I got a milk frother from them a million years ago and they seemed like a solid choice for coffee) as it was fast enough to use every day, but more than flavored coffee should hold . Dragon.SUPER HAPPY! First, using a French Press made me feel very fashionable on a Sunday morning (please see the coffee mug and paper image!). Second, it was such a rich cup of coffee. The taste was deep, strong and pleasant. I liked the easy measurements of the coffee to water ratio. I set the timer for 4 minutes, then squeezed the plunger and poured into my mug. I also liked the strainer on top to keep stray coffee grounds from escaping. I need to improve my French bench press skills, but I just love this little guy. It's easy enough for everyday, but the process is delicious and special enough to make you feel good for a big Sunday brunch. I'll still use my regular coffee pot for lots of caffeine, but found myself pulling out my French Press to enjoy the moment a little more (or for that 3pm coffee break!). Attention nerds. There is a catchphrase on the box - an incredibly frothy coffee company. How cute is that?
