Good for the first time: The processing quality is very good. The basket holder didn't wobble at all while we were driving or parking. There is no need to purchase special jigs to attach them to dampen vibrations. Not at all. I can say that the finish is very high quality, thick powder coating. The welds are excellent. Now for the bad: I was hoping we could cruise around town whenever we wanted, with the basket down when we didn't need it. (Like we brought our luggage inside and the basket was empty.) WRONG! The basket does not lock in the folded position. So in Los Angeles we had to drive all over town with the basket hanging down. Then, after stopping and getting out of the car, we folded up the heating pad and walked away, hoping there would be enough friction on it that it wouldn't collapse on its own and crash into the car, which would park properly in a few moments. behind us, very close. This happened every day during a multi-day trip to the Disneyland garage. Luckily it never fell off. So the people behind us probably didn't touch it. At another property, not at Disneyland, the valet tried to charge me for an "oversized car". He softened when I showed him folding. But it was scary and tricky maneuvering this car through a crowded parking lot with an additional 2-1/2 foot wide basket dangling from the back. When I tried to maneuver in the cabin I asked someone to come outside and fold it up and hold on to it while I backed up, moved forward and backed up. in a stable. I didn't want him to fall and hit another car. And to make matters worse, I didn't want to have my stretcher stolen. It's so easy to steal trailers and other attachments like this from a hitch receiver. Because of this, hitch locks are readily available and fairly inexpensive, so trailers, or in this case basket pick-ups, cannot be easily removed from the vehicle and stolen. So I bought one of these. However, this did not help with this "folding" nozzle. Because the only thing that securely connects your basket to the folding device is a bolt that can be removed with a single crescent! But nobody could steal the foldable Surco adapter!
