It's not rocket science - it's a U-bolt designed to hold the spare tire and it works as expected for my application. I used it on a 3" square tube trailer tongue that holds a 5" x 4.5" trailer spare tire. Easy to install and safe.

- Easy to install: place screw on trailer neck and tighten. The spare wheel is attached along the sides of the trailer.
