Poor quality universal hub

The fixed USB-C cable is so short that when it's set up your laptop dangles instead of lying on the table. All my laptops are raised to eye level for ergonomic reasons. Why wouldn't a manufacturer consider this use case for a laptop docking station? The cable is 7 inches long and my laptop is raised 10 inches. It heats up when connected to the mains, even if it is not used for a long time. It seems to be doing something wasteful internally, wasting power as heat. This waste of electricity makes me hesitant to use it. Even with just the keyboard plugged in, it still feels warm. What is there? Most people don't need a VGA adapter unless they're using an old projector in the office. The advertising of this hub supporting three displays is misleading. He points out that if you connect three displays via the VGA port and Windows, you're limited to an unusable 720p resolution. It is also not compatible with HCDP, which can affect movie playback. 4k at 30Hz is not what you want. I would not connect a 4k monitor to it. You need at least 60 Hz. A headphone jack would make more sense than a VGA port. The manual and the product state that USB 3 ports are 3.0. The network says that 3.1. I believe it's 3.0. Finding the best docking stations is easy. This product appears to be identical to many other products on sale that have different logos printed on them. This is serial Chinese junk.
