The handlebar clamp has a ratcheting mechanism that causes the basket to rotate downwards when significant weight is placed inside. It pivots down until the bottom edge of the basket meets the stem, tilting it down more than 20 degrees and looking very silly. . I spent almost an hour on this and even added my own spacers. Even the epoxy doesn't stop the ratchet teeth from clicking down when significant weight is placed in the basket. He'll probably come back unless my daughter is okay with how silly that looks.
