Review on UFQ L2 Hi Lite Headset Compare Communication by Kaveen Restoration

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well and quietly

I am a GA PA28 pilot and have been using this headset for a year, almost 100 flight hours. My previous headset had non-active noise canceling headphones. My search criterion was a very light headset with a good ANR. I ended up arguing between the Clarity Aloft and the UFQ headset. I was very concerned about the quality of the Chinese headset, but at 1/3 the price I couldn't justify the Clarity Aloft headset. I figured if this headset was a complete failure I would try returning it and get the Clarity Aloft headset instead. I also suspect that the CA headsets are probably made in the same region as the UFQ, but I haven't done anything to verify that. The good points of the headset in my opinion are: * Very light * Takes up less space in my flight bag than traditional headsets * Noise canceling works well * Comfortable on long flights things I would have liked differently * I wish I could plug them in into a USB charger for easy backup of the AA batteries (I have a pair of Bose active noise canceling headphones that don't do this for aviation and they're great) *I feel like the in- Ear part could be improved to keep it a little better * I wish the headphones came with a clip to hold the cord. I had to find it elsewhere* The case is too narrow for the headset. I'm concerned that the cable will eventually fail due to the pressure of the case during storage* I wish there was a dedicated place in the case to store extra AA batteries (it has a pocket so it works, but I always have Afraid the batteries will close a little)

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • No power
