Product was exactly what I wanted…thickness is good, sanded well on cut edges, but unfortunately, when you add paint, within 5-10 minutes, the room is full of loud pops as the pieces begin to crack from the edge towards the middle. Out of the 10 I’ve attempted to paint so far, 6 have split. The paint, as shown in photo, isn’t thick- you can still see the wood through the white paint (Anita’s all purpose acrylic craft paint). The black paint seems to be causing less cracking, so far (same brand). It makes me question whether these will even be usable next Christmas. Big chance to take to with gifts. Can’t recommend for the price I paid, and the amount of usable slices I’m going to get.
