I am replacing a cheaper version of the CD mount that uses a universal mount (clip for GPS and phones) instead of a Garmin style GPS mount, which can be attached to the back of the GPS. The regulator broke on the cheaper one as it was thin plastic with a screw to tighten it once positioned. This mount is very high quality and should last longer than my GPS. Spend a few dollars more and get a quality mount - that's it!
