Review on πŸ”ͺ Lansky Sharpeners Multi Purpose Sharpener: The Ultimate Tool for Sharpening Anything by Sourn Debremarkos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I believe this is the best hand sharpening stone currently available for the

is that they have a slight taper/bevel on the outside so you can keep your fingers up and out of the way when sharpening the ax heads. They're great for touching up your ax after use, but if you mess up the blade it's going to take a lot of sweat to sand it down with a Lansky washing machine. The washer has two sides: one to remove more material (coarse) and one to finish the edge (fine). Sharpening is a little easier if you can put the ax in a vise to hold it while sharpening. Don't forget to make both sides the same if it's just a touch. The washing machine is small and portable, so it doesn't weigh much or take up much space in your backpack or tool box. You can buy a thinner ornamental stone, but when chopping wood, it will give you an advantage in the task. If you want to be able to shave with your ax I would suggest getting thinner 15k and 20k Japanese wet stones to further dull your edge.
