This PCV valve is the hardest I have ever changed. I've had mechanics tell me it never needed to be replaced. Well, it might last longer than the plastic on an old Chrysler 318, though. You really need to take some time to get hold of a short wrench and move a few parts aside. Also, find out how to unscrew the old one with a small wrench. I could rotate several degrees at once. Turn the key and repeat the process. My engine stumbled on the 2K part throttle, I think the old valve was stuck open. The new valve made it disappear.
