I bought this for the maker's projects. The vice is of very good quality and works perfectly. I understand some reviewers have complained that the jaws don't hold straight, but I was able to get the drill bits to hold straight and secure with minimal wobble. The inside angle of the jaws is probably too large and the jaws are plated making it difficult to position the drill correctly. In reality, however, it was not very difficult for an experienced machinist or toolmaker. If I hadn't read the other reviews I wouldn't have noticed the problem. A nice feature is that there is room inside the handle for all but the largest drill bits. As long as the jaws are closed, they will not fall out. The exercises themselves weren't that good. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars. They aren't soft as other reviewers report, but about half of them don't sharpen properly and won't pierce. If you look at them under magnification, you can easily tell which ones are good. It's really not practical to try to re-sharpen a drill this size. However, you can easily get high-quality drills, so I didn't shoot much. For me, a good quality pen vise is much more important than bits.
