Description of πŸ”§ Highly Durable Migiwata Straight Stainless Steel Tool – Unmatched Resistance for Heavy-Duty Applications

COBALT STEEL - Manufactured from M35 cobalt steel, with molybdenum and cobalt added to creates a hardened alloy, measuring Rockwell hardness up to 67, extremely heat resistant; for much faster cutting and extra longer life span, with up to twelve times when compared with an average HSS drill bit. NO CENTER PUNCH NEEDED - The 135Β° Quick-Cut points are self-centering and penetrate quickly with less pressure. Will not "walk" or "wander". Straight shank allows for firmly holding and accurate centering, fit for standard drill chucks and regular round collet chucks. Must be used and operated at proper RPMs for maximum efficiency. 13PC METRIC BITS - The set includes 13pcs of M35 cobalt steel twist drill bits: 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.2mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 4.8mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, 6.5mm. Well organized in a plastic indexed storage case for easy transport to your worksite. FOR METALWORKING - Particularly successful in cutting through hard metals such as stainless steel and cast iron, although they can be used for softer materials, too. Not for hardened steel / high carbon steel. Try to adjust the RPM when it fails to penetrate. DOWNLOADABLE USER GUIDE - We've summed up some tips of drilling metals, including a RPM chart for several common metals, based on our reviews and some articles on the internet. In most cases, our customers would get a much better result with these tips. Welcome to download.

Very good quality pens. Bits, not that many

I bought this for the maker's projects. The vice is of very good quality and works perfectly. I understand some reviewers have complained that the jaws don't hold straight, but I was able to get the drill bits to hold straight and secure with minimal wobble. The inside angle of the jaws is probably too large and the jaws are plated making it difficult to position the drill correctly. In reality, however, it was not very difficult for an experienced machinist or toolmaker. If I hadn't read the…

Drilled straight through the engine stud/steel block.

A 5mm drill bit was needed to repair a broken 6mm fastener holding the oil pan to the engine block. After the bolt could not be removed with a drill and left hand puller, it was time to drill through the center of the fastener, the engine steel block, and tap new threads with an Irwin 6mm x 1.5.20 or 5 .25mm This drill set had 5.0 and then 5.5mm drill bits. Using a 5.0 drill and coolant, the drill drilled well through the bolt and steel engine block. The drill has not deviated from the center…

Great set of METRIC bits!

When I bought this I only intended to use it for light work (polymer drilling). However, as fate would have it, I had to use them to drill through hardened steel and to my great surprise they worked admirably. It was a pleasant surprise (expected "Chinese rubbish") and very happy with this purchase; especially considering it's a METRIC set which is hard to find (in the US). I would like a 1mm nozzle in the kit, but oh well. It's just a preference and nothing against the quality of the bits in…
