Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Highly Durable Migiwata Straight Stainless Steel Tool โ€“ Unmatched Resistance for Heavy-Duty Applications by Ayush Bonuccelli

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great set of METRIC bits!

When I bought this I only intended to use it for light work (polymer drilling). However, as fate would have it, I had to use them to drill through hardened steel and to my great surprise they worked admirably. It was a pleasant surprise (expected "Chinese rubbish") and very happy with this purchase; especially considering it's a METRIC set which is hard to find (in the US). I would like a 1mm nozzle in the kit, but oh well. It's just a preference and nothing against the quality of the bits in this set. ============= Update on 01/16/2018 Rating changed from 5 stars to 3 stars. I had to drill metal again - actually I didn't even drill new holes, just "chased". pre-existing holes to widen them - and neither 4.5mm nor 4.8mm bits will do anything. They just twisted, heated up, didn't cut anything. I even tried a 5mm bit, although it was too big for my purposes and only rotated. So I used four bits (4, 4.5, 4.8 and 5mm) and only one of them did anything. The one that actually worked did the job well; others are a HUGE disappointment. =============Updated 1/25/18============ Kudos to Migiwata Support (thanks Bella!). After hearing about my not-so-pleasant experience with these tips, they sent me a second set. Apparently their original supplier had run out and they had to use a second, temporary supplier until the original supplier could meet demand. The first set I received was from a temporary supplier. New set from original supplier and the bits in this new set seem fine. So how do you tell the difference? On the case (see photo). The set with the blue dot on the case, that's the plastic bracket that keeps the case closed, belongs to the original supplier. Now, if you happen to get a set with no blue dot, don't panic. Just because I received an inferior kit that passed the manufacturer's quality check doesn't mean you will too. Try Beats first. In the WORST case, Migiwata Support cares about you as much as they care about me; At best, you won't even have a problem. As for me and my rating of this product, I'm happy to camp again and am increasing my rating to 5 stars. The bits are great (make sure you use a good cutting lubricant/coolant) and Migiwata's customer service is outstanding.
