I bought this stand in July 2013. It's March 2014 and the plastic sleeve covering the spring that locks the stand up or down has ruptured. Despite this, the product didn't even last a year with moderate use, 1/5 stars. The functions on it are useful. The attachment loops are padded with plastic, paint or latex and also have rubber pads to prevent the device from scratching the paintwork. The length of the stand can be slowly adjusted by turning it. The stand was able to balance my bike in the rear with large panniers front and rear. The design has two disadvantages. First, the retaining spring that holds the stand up or down is too stiff. The plastic case is made of plastic.
