There is a serious problem when used with a standard stereo microscope. Most eyepieces have a 10x magnification. The camera has a 30x magnification. There is no way you can get a smaller magnification and have the same field of view in both. What I needed to take the picture was a 40mm petri dish, which at 10x magnification would fill the entire screen. The camera view could only capture a small part. NOT what I needed. The rest is good. The instruction manual is bad. It seems the increase is never mentioned in the specs. I contacted support to see if a 0.3x reducer in the tube would solve the problem. The technician agreed this would be compensation but had no idea where I could find it. Many are available with a C-mount back, but there isn't anything I could put the camera in. This can be an easy fix as many reviewers have commented on this issue. It even made the company some money. The optical problem is that the CMOS size is too small. It works, but the ID is fine.
