I love all Takumi needles (except for the tiny ones) because they are metal-free. I really don't like the feel of metal against the skin, and the Takumi line doesn't have it (again, except for the very small ones, 2.75mm and under). I also like that they're made from bamboo, not only because it's a renewable material and therefore eco-friendly, but also because I like that the stitches don't slip as easily as with metal or acrylic needles, so I don't have to worry must .o dropped the stitches almost as much! Sometimes I didn't like the little third party ones because they were older versions of these knitting needles - with blunter tips and in thick plastic packaging with no paper lining. But for the most part, ordering them from Revain was great.
