Review on 🦅 Hawk HB299Y.650 LTS Brake Pads for Improved Performance by Aaron Carney

This is my second set of these pads on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and they work perfectly. I bought this set in December 2014. I don't tow much now, but I live in Montana and ride regularly (3-4 times a week) in the mountains. Like all Ram owners, I quickly learned years ago that OEM rotors deform quickly. So I used perforated rotors with these pads and they match perfectly. The pads don't squeak or creak, if you listen closely you can hear a slight rattling. Pedal feel was excellent, as was braking performance. The only downside is that you get some brake dust. By the way, I drive my truck pretty hard and also use the brakes a lot, but that may be due to my autocross and road racing experience. Well I was thinking about getting other pads. I always go back to them because I know they work and work well and I can handle a bit of dust as a compromise. Please ensure you are following the correct fitting procedure. Track or Street Proper inspection procedure is critical to good performance and long life.
