Review on 🚚 TMS 800 LB Adjustable Fit 2 Bars Utility Ladder Truck Pick up Rack – US Patent NO.D722,007 by Joel Gumbiner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

1995 toy pickup truck. Great at $180/Chinese.

Used with camper top clips for easy theft. It quickly rusts when wet, reducing its attractiveness. There was a cavity in a weld. The wide flange will not fit the side rail of a Toyota truck (95 pickup); Existing screw holes come out when butting the flange. I prefer the firmness of this alignment. Some people drilled through the bed beam and used screws, but they had to cut a few inches off the cross tube to join the flanges and make holes over the beams. In my method, the flanges extend an inch past the edges of the rail. It's a compromise anyway, but works well. You can drill new holes, push the flanges out against the guides and not cut the cross tube. I recommend painting before installation, caulking all welds, caulking joints to prevent water from filling the pipes, and applying anti-seize compound to the set screws. A surveyor drilled drain holes in the bottom welds. It's not Thule, but it works. I have 2 clamps on each flange - 8 total. There are clamps but I already had them.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
