I have two in an aviary I built for our panther chameleon. I change every year but rotate every six months so I have a fresh onion on a regular basis. When branch/rope climbing, I can set the required height. He liked to climb into the lampshade whenever he could, so we added some wire to prevent that. The lightbulbs were hot enough to cause burns if he touched them, but not hot enough to do any harm. He's very healthy so they seem to be doing their job of providing UVB for strong bones. Will keep buying.
