They are actually a bit heavier than the original sockets in our break front so hopefully they will last longer. (The originals lasted about 15 years before cracking and breaking.) I would caution buyers that these sockets insert a little closer to the center of the drawer than the originals. So I had to place them a bit further apart horizontally than the originals, at least in my case. In other words, the mounting holes for the new left bushing should be about ½ inch to the left of the original; Likewise, the holes for the right side are about ½ inch to the right.
