Review on 🚲 Smooth Sailer Kids' Trailer by Max Rosengren

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I want to love it but questionable quality!

I was so excited for the trailer to arrive that I immediately started assembling it. The instructions were easy to understand and I was able to follow them step by step until I followed the instructions to rotate the chassis. Page and drag to expand the frame. It was so hard to pull up. I wiggled slightly, pulled and repeated, but couldn't extend it. And I noticed how there were scratches and scuffs on the paint/metal from the tugging and tugging of the frame as it was pulled. see pictures. It doesn't seem normal. After applying some lube I was finally able to pull the frame out where it was supposed to be and hear a click. But I only have one click instead of two on each page. After examining the frame, I saw that the spring latch was stuck in the down (depressed) position. See photos. Although the 2 rods were aligned in such a way that the spring burst. It never happened. I tried to move it, banged on the spring latch with a screwdriver, it doesn't click. This is a security issue. I know that if the spring doesn't snap, the frame won't collapse. But I also can't be sure that the frame won't compress when the bars aren't engaged. Tomorrow I will contact Bell to see if they can send me a replacement. Hopefully this is an overlooked quality issue and the next one won't be in this condition. Will be updated when the issue is resolved.
