Review on Norpro 992 Nonstick 4-Egg Poacher: Perfectly Cooked Eggs in Minutes - 8.5 inch, Black by Scott Kulothungan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

it is a keeper. in Kitchen & Dining

I took a chance and bought it after using 3 cups for 20 years. Eggs slide out effortlessly, to my surprise - but only if you smear oil with your finger. The oil tends to collect in droplets and expose some of the surface, so I wouldn't call it true nonstick. I was surprised how difficult it was to clean the cups after using the olive oil. The cups easily hold large eggs and might not be very large if you are very careful. As a bonus, I use this to make hard boiled eggs - don't burn your fingers trying to peel them; also faster and easier to control. I recommend this if you don't mind taking the time to oil it up. 5 stars if the seller is more honest in advertising this as nonstick. Update: This has been for a year and is still working. 5 stars if the center button didn't come loose - even superglue didn't help. Tip: Target sells a silicone spatula made by Softworks for $9 that goes perfectly with these mugs. Welcome back.
