At first I didn't like these covers at all. They have a silicone ring that fits into a groove on the lid and they will NOT stay in place when you take the lid off. I liked that they were sealed but hated putting the ring back every time. So I cleaned them very well in Oxiclean & Dawn, dried well and then applied glue with a "Loctite" brush, applied glue to the annular channel in the lid and then fitted the silicone ring. I used the wide end of one of my chopsticks and slipped it around the silicone ring to make sure it had a good seal. Now they work great, no leaks, no silicon rings falling out of the canal and no food getting under the ring. Ideal after a little personal fine-tuning.
