. I use these lids to grow liquid mycelial cultures and they need to be pressure sterilized (255F). These lids are in excellent condition and a big plus is that they come with silicone seals. You don't want a seal to be airtight during sterilization, and if you do, the threads can deform under the torque load. The seals work well, the price for the package is good.

Hello, I have recently purchased 16 of your wide mouth plastic jar lids. I read a brochure that says silicone rings are already in place. Mine didn't exist yet. I received two sets of 7 silicone rings. 16 caps 14 silicone rings I don't know who counted, but I need two more silicone rings, can you help me? I tried to email you a few days ago but didn't get a reply.

I have bought white can lids before. I use them all the time. When they arrived I immediately noticed that the plastic caps were lighter/thinner than others I've bought and there were silicone discs which I wasn't expecting. So instead of taking a plastic cap I now need separate caps for them as they are different. And be sure to remove the silicone ring before washing. WHY not tell? I don't know if they are better or worse, I know disclosure to customers is important.

I've read reviews that they come with silicone O-rings for extra sealing. However, I use my shake glasses and without the use of rings they do NOT leak AT ALL. Even if I turn them upside down and then leave them upside down. I marinate food and make cocktails. The caps are well made and just as strong as the Ball brand. At first I didn't like these covers at all. They have a silicone ring that fits into a groove on the lid and they will NOT stay in place when you take the lid off. I liked that they were sealed but hated putting the ring back every time. So I cleaned them very well in Oxiclean & Dawn, dried well and then applied glue with a "Loctite" brush, applied glue to the annular channel in the lid and then fitted the silicone ring. I ordered these caps a few years ago and they all feel great. Never leaked and each of them was used almost every day. None of these lids had gaskets, and none of them ever leaked. BUT THOSE are a different story. They looked exactly like the first ones I bought but when they arrived they came with rubber grommets that fit into the space in the lid. Before putting gaskets on the caps, I tried them without gaskets to see if they would leak. They leaked. Then I put in the lid gaskets and screwed…

They're very leak-proof (never leaked so far), can be used in the pressure cooker (one lid six times today) and won't rust.
