I bought three more packs because the price dropped to $11.xx. These are wide-necked lids, I don't buy narrow-necked jars... They're very leak-proof (never leaked so far), can be used in the pressure cooker (one lid six times today) and won't rust. They claim to be made of polypropylene (as evidenced by their indifference to sterilization) and the one-piece lid is amazing. There is a separate silicone seal. So if you're picky, these are technically two-piece caps, but the ring and cap are one-piece. I personally hate single rings, they rust and I feel like I'm breaking a nail when I rip off a thin metal disk. These lids are molded with ribs to greatly increase grip. The ONLY real downside I see is that the lids don't click as they cool, giving you an audible and visual cue that the seal is tight. After they've cooled, I simply screw these lids back on easily and I haven't had a single sealing issue or broken glass. I mentioned that the lids seem to be reusable more or less indefinitely for canning. I have a jelly jar that has gone through the pressure cooker 6 times and it still seals perfectly.
