Barely worked. Best in Category Heat Lamps
This item was a huge disappointment. It was hardly hot. I mean it felt scalding. But the heat came out only 3 inches from the bulb, and then it was imperceptible. Definitely didn't work for what we intended to use it for, which is to keep the chickens warm. We ended up using a red incandescent bulb and it worked great. It was in the box about 5 minutes after I tried it and found it was useless. It could be good for a lizard shell or something. but even then I don't think it would really achieve what it's supposed to.
