I did a lot of research before purchasing but I needed the thinnest mount that would allow me to tilt and level after installation. It was my first time mounting a TV over a chimney and I knew there was little chance of drilling four perfect holes with a hammer drill over my head. I am very happy with this mount. The price was reasonable, the quality was excellent, and no other mount was as thin and versatile as the Kanto. I'm not a carpenter, but I trust my ability to hang something straight. However, I can't say enough good things about being able to align the TV perfectly once it's on the wall. I actually think I hung this particular light perfectly level, but whoever laid the bricks for my fireplace was wrong. Anyway, now the TV is perfectly aligned with the bricks, it's only 1.5 inches from the wall and at the perfect tilt to watch from the couch. Whether you're hanging your TV over a fireplace or anywhere else an articulating arm is needed, this is the mount you should get.
