I have a set of doors that don't come with closers. I looked at this product and realized I could make it work. I just had to drill 3 holes and place it where it could do what I need. Cons (for me, remember my door wasn't designed for this): 1) Lots of plastic parts, I wish there was more metal. 2) The piece of metal that was going to be bolted to the top of the door was very long and overhanging the door by about 1/4 inch. I haven't seen a way to cut it off without losing power. I see no reason why they couldn't make it a little shorter. 3) Height adjustment without spacers is limited. I think an adjustable screw and a set of spacers would solve some issues. 4) Cheap screws that could not be used on a metal door, had to use it myself Pros: Very compact unit that is almost invisible Reasonable price Clear instructions
