Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Rachael Ray Wood Cutting Board with Handle - 14x11 Inch, Brown: High-Quality Pantryware for Efficient Food Preparation and Serving by Ashley Ellis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice but soft wood

Pros: Looks good straight away. It's a thick wood so it shouldn't snap in half like some of my old thin cutting boards. The hole and leather strap are perfect for hanging on a pot rack (reducing clutter in my closets). It's a good size but not too big (it would be awkward to hang anything bigger). It's heavy enough not to move when cutting. My board came pre-treated with mineral oil which saved me quite a bit of trouble. Cons: No grooves to collect liquid (but you can see that from the picture, no surprises). Its surface is slightly softer to the touch than bamboo and easily scratched upon first use. In addition, the scratches are more visible because the beautiful wood is so dark. As someone else mentioned in their review, if you care about looks then consider using it as a good cheese/serving board rather than daily use. EDIT: I uploaded a photo of a board hanging from my pot rack. It looks cute! You can see the scratches yourself; This was after ONE use (I used it to dice a 3lb mini ham). The old board next to it is also scratched, but this is less noticeable due to the lighter color.
