This clay is EXCELLENT for panel work and wood carving. but terrible for everything else. Contrary to what the box claims, this is NOT GOOD AT ALL for throwing a wheel. it has almost no plasticity and it has almost no wet strength - and it is very wet clay! And I don't just mean fresh out of the box, I mean it absorbs water like the devil and softens until it's practically unsuitable for processing with no added water/slip to lubricate hands/tools. It air dries very quickly, especially when making hollow vessels, which significantly reduces efficiency and uptime. It does not bond well, is very difficult to restore cuts to usable condition, and tears severely when wedged under normal operating humidity levels. Unless it's soft and wet enough to poke at it with your fingers, it will break if you wedge it unless you just cut and smack. terracotta tone.
