Do not bother with plasticine

Terrible. It's too wet and incredibly sticky to work with - despite the fact that I got it to work, or so I thought.

Careful with packaging

I ordered 10 pounds of this clay in natural white and terracotta. The terracotta color and texture was great. It was very easy to work with him. My only complaint about the white clay is that the pouch was left open in the box so it was very hard on us. Of course it can be softened again with a lot of effort. But it's a lot of work and still not as good as terracotta clay and not as easy to work with. I was very disappointed that it wasn't ready to use when I opened the box.

Perfect consistency, very easy to work with, unpleasant smell

Clay has good thickness and can be thinned with water if needed. It's not too thick but not too thin either and holds its shape well. Can be smoothed very well and is very easy to work with, the only drawback I have noticed so far is the bad smell. I think you'll get used to it if you work with it for an hour or two at a time, but it's definitely a bit annoying, I only wear a mask when I'm working with it and it becomes invisible. Also, it seems to dry out a bit quickly, but that just means you

Easy to shape and dries quickly!

We used this to take handprints of poured cement in our old house. We wanted to take our memories with us :) We carefully shaped the clay, pressed it against the handprints and let it dry overnight. The putty dries relatively quickly, depending on how much putty you used. While I was doing the handprints, the kids played with the little pieces, and by the time I was done, the little pieces (about the size of an Apple airfield case) had hardened in places. NOT for throwing wheels! It can hardly be used for manual construction.

This clay is EXCELLENT for panel work and wood carving. but terrible for everything else. Contrary to what the box claims, this is NOT GOOD AT ALL for throwing a wheel. it has almost no plasticity and it has almost no wet strength - and it is very wet clay! And I don't just mean fresh out of the box, I mean it absorbs water like the devil and softens until it's practically unsuitable for processing with no added water/slip to lubricate hands/tools.
