Therefore, your warranty period only covers the original purchase, not the replacement. Amazon does not refund money and to be honest we are rude and very short about product defects. DO NOT BUY unless you end up wanting to remove this part and buy from a different supplier as we have bought 2 of these so far. the original part broke after about 12 years, the second lasted about a year, the third about 5 months! amazing power output when first installed and then returned within the warranty period of around twelve months. the second worked fine. less than 6 months now it is as bad as the original. Easy to install but obviously poor quality. Now I need to figure out how to send a refund back. I hope Amazon is amazing as always. BUT, after all, Amazon was NOT behind this point at all. Support went so far as to write in Amazon's book that they were not allowed to refund the cost of parts already replaced, even if still under warranty and even if the purchase was premium, and even if sold from amazon.com she said even if the part went bad there was nothing amazon could do because we had already received a replacement 5 months ago, even if that replacement was defective, it doesn't matter amazon wouldn't do anything about it! WOW, Amazon's customer service has been great so far! Now we have gone ahead and bought another throttle body from another supplier because our commuter engine will not run very well unless we replace the faulty part. so we have now bought this article at our own expense, since amazon is not responsible for a defective part. thank god amazon, even though we've spent thousands and thousands on amazon, i guess we little people really don't matter to huge companies! Lesson learned loud and clear. Be warned, this part can fail more than once and you're screwed.
