Review on AquaClear 70 Activated Carbon Inserts: Premium Aquarium Filter Replacement Media, 3-Pack [A1386], White by Becky Chopra

The 3 packs I ordered were very different from what originally came with the filter. It was a different size bag which appears to be cheaper. The carbon didn't seem to want to wash off. Eventually I gave up and put it in a filter and it released tons of tiny bubbles for a very long time. I've never seen this before. I'm sure it's ok, but given that you're paying a lot more than if you just pack it yourself, that's a little disappointing. The reason I bought it was because the ones that came with the filter lasted a very long time. I use charcoal to remove tannins from driftwood.
