I searched forever before I found this. This is the solution you need when you have two lightbulbs and a plug and want the switch to turn both on. I use this for lights next to the main bed. NOT ONE lamp reached the socket (why are those cords so short when you wish they were long.). For a while we used two extension cords. Wire 1 went to lamp A. Wire 2 was connected to wire 1 and then to lamp B. It looked like a fire hazard, especially as we had a dual USB port and our phone cords were there too. With that everything is solved. We added an Alexa compatible plug and can now turn off both lights with a single command (bonus).
