Lumps on paper are coated with an adhesive used to hold them to the paper and are therefore not very sharp and poorly cut . The other brand's finer grit seemed to work better (removes material faster) and last longer than them. I would not buy them again but would buy a different brand. Update 8/5/18: After I posted the above review, the seller contacted me to buy a better review or remove my review. It seems to me "all mixed up". I wonder how many of the existing high ratings are "bought". Here is the text of her message: Hi Kevin!
