New paddle here, but ive been around and done all kind of sports and I can tell a good paddle from a bad one. This is just A-ok.For $60 here is the good:- adjustable in lenght- decently lightweight- doesnt bend. Responsive.- durable- easy to store (3 pieces)Now the bad:- this paddle is not weighted properly- everything other than the handle is cheap plastic. Durable but not ideal.- not comfortable. No padding anywhere for either hand. The top handle is cheaply made.Bottom line: a hybrid carbon paddle, where the carbon seems to be used mainly to allow for reduced shipping and manufacturing costs (3 pieces but still rigid). Everything else is cheap plastic and it is something you feel when paddling. All in all a good value for $60 but nothing great and will require added padding for serious paddlers.
