Works well and appears to be a quality valve. I use it as an overnight/weekend shut off on my air compressor and it holds 120psi all weekend with no leaks. ------ This is an annual update and I am very happy with this quality valve. I've turned it on and off hundreds of times and it's still like new and doesn't leak at all. I'm sure it will outlive my compressor and possibly me. Don't listen to the reviewer who complains that this is "terrible quality soft brass", this valve is excellent quality and yes it is soft brass like all brass. He must have overstretched it because he didn't know how to do the work properly. If you want it to be airtight, use teflon tape or pipe sealant (pipe sealant) and just tighten it to about 15 pounds, it's no damn nut.
