Very nice little valve! The price is great too!

I bought FOUR of these for every air compressor I own. They work great! Pays for itself through less wear and tear on the compressors and less time to start-up. As? Just turn them off when you're done with the compressor! Tanks stay FULL until ready to use again. Now I even keep POWER on because I know they're not going on and off all the time. And one reviewer remarked that they were "SOFT BRASS". Damn YOU ARE BRASS! And they work great!

Pros
  • Fittings 1/4" Male NPT (MNPT) X 1/4" Female NPT (FNPT)
Cons
  • No Auto

Ideal for use at waterholes

I have replaced all of my irrigation fittings with PVC/brass instead of the cheap plastic fittings that most lawn care professionals use. I have tried many valves and these have proven to be the best for my application. I combine a brass adapter, brass elbow, this valve, and a push-fit connector to change from 1/2" PVC line to 1/4" irrigation line, which I then connect to a deep root irrigation post at each source. Irrigation manifolds last about 2 years at AZ heat before they break/leak and…

Pros
  • Forged for added strength and durability. Wrought brass is stronger and more expensive than cast brass.
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Seems to be very good at hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing

Works well and appears to be a quality valve. I use it as an overnight/weekend shut off on my air compressor and it holds 120psi all weekend with no leaks. ------ This is an annual update and I am very happy with this quality valve. I've turned it on and off hundreds of times and it's still like new and doesn't leak at all. I'm sure it will outlive my compressor and possibly me. Don't listen to the reviewer who complains that this is "terrible quality soft brass", this valve is excellent…
