*Copied from my review of a receiver because I have both. I have 3 dogs *These collars work great and the battery life is great but if you have a long haired dog look elsewhere. The prongs that go in to make contact through the fur break very easily. They must also be removed when charging the collar. I had to buy a replacement set which he had already broken. He broke 3 of July/August and it is December 1st. Replacement parts cost a little over $10 for ONE set if I remember correctly. For the price of a replacement I have settled on a collar that has not used these pins and hope it performs as well as this one. I should also note that I have put on one of my other dogs (a very large American Bulldog/Pit Bull) and it works very well for her as well, but the plastic holding the nylon collar broke last week (see photo). She weighs about 80 pounds, is very muscular and full of puppy energy, so she's full of boars all the time. I don't know that much can resist her!
