What I did to prevent my dog โ€‹โ€‹from unbuckling his seat belt by stepping on it.

I have this harness and I have a very awesome 94 pound pit mix. After strapping in several dozen securely while traveling, she recently got restless and rolled around in the back seat a few times and stepped on the seatbelt buckle. Luckily, I had just pulled out of the driveway and was only going a few miles per hour when she jumped out the window to visit her friend next door, who made a noise that got her excited. Was this product to blame? No, I don't think so. It was just great. She just managed to free him from the mechanism like a human would. If your child unbuckles the seat belt, it's not the seat belt's fault, is it? You prevent this by finding something that will stop them from hitting the button. Here's what I did to make it harder for my girlfriend to unbuckle that buckle. I took a plastic cup, cut a slit in the bottom of the cup wide enough for the buckle to fit through, attached the strap to the seat buckle, and then slid the plastic cup onto the mechanism. Now she steps on the cup instead of opening the buckle. It works for now, but I'll probably keep an eye on something that fits a little more tightly into my truck's seatbelt slot. I have attached photos to this post. denial of responsibility. So far this is working fine for me. It may not be the right solution for your situation. I hope my idea will give some of you ideas of your own that work for you. I love seeing what other people come up with. One more thing while I'm at it. belt length. I have a Dodge Ram Crew Cab. My "big dog" wears a harness, hooks into the back of the center harness and has enough reach to stick his head out the window. I want her to come in. For me, the length of this seat belt when fully taut is just what I want. She drools all over the door, after a while she gets tired of standing and lies down. All are happy. :)
