These speaker brackets are a perfect match for my Pioneer surround bookshelf speakers. They work great with an open floor plan. I have a speaker that needed to be installed and then the base needed to be parallel to the wall. With this mount we were able to achieve that. Another feature we love about them is that you can position the speakers either at the same level or at a downward angle to project the sound at us. The only thing I would like to say about this is that I would like the lock nut to be black so that it blends in with the rest of the base mount. Installation is very easy and they install quickly and ours are installed in drywall and I have not dropped them off the wall.
