I have used Ikea remotes which are cheaper than these but Ikea battery life is a little below average. They feel a little better and the battery life "seems" to be better - I'll have to upgrade after a few months of use. I wish they had made remotes with more buttons too. Addendum: The battery lasts quite well. I use one of these as a doorbell button and run my Raspberry Pi to play custom bells. To clarify, I already have an existing setup with a Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant, so having this custom doorbell is just an added benefit. You can not set up more. The button is protected by a plastic box with an open bottom. It will be sheltered from the rain, but we'll see how well it holds up in the sun and South Florida heat.
