I bought this when I ride my motorbike and want to drink at bus stops without taking off my full face helmet. Several test runs showed that this is exactly what I wanted. The cork is secure and prevents the drink from spurting out (although it got lost a bit when I accidentally dropped the bottle). I like the flexible and retractable bottom of the straw to accommodate different size and shape bottles. Yes, there will be some air leakage, similar to a small tear in a regular straw, but overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
