Review on 🟩 Vibrant Green PETG Filament 1: Luminous and Durable 3D Printing Material by Nathan Tsugawa

Usually good things aren't reliable

Delivered to my door for $17, it's pretty good. Unfortunately, the material is sometimes contradictory. The picture shows exactly the same part on the same printer (Prusa i3 MK3S) with the same program. The only difference is the coil, I got to a very nice blue-grey in the penultimate phase of this project. This is the third blue/grey roll and unfortunately compared to the other two this roll proved difficult to print on and very brittle. I'm going back to my favorite brand - Prusament. Unfortunately, this requires the filament box to be purchased in the Czech Republic in order to be price competitive. My second choice is Overture. The third option would be CC3D if the color is not otherwise available. The €3 price difference is just not worth it. You would need to hit 6 consecutive throws to break even and I just don't think that's possible. I thought I was crazy and started cleaning everything, replacing nozzles etc. I'm sure it's the material - replacing it with some kind of Prusament solved the problem. The adhesion of this reel is also insane. I barely get it off my textured Prusa sheet - it usually doesn't.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Some little things
