As my work shifted to working from home, I needed a second monitor to work on my Surface Book 2. It had to be small and able to be charged from my laptop as I was limited by cables. This portable monitor weighs just over a pound and is lighter than my Surface Book. The 17.5 inch display is perfect for opening a plethora of apps beyond my flat book. Text is crisp and clear, and brightness is easily adjustable. This also works in enhanced mode through the Virtual Desk interface with my company's server, you just need to make sure the monitor is connected to the source before connecting to VDI or VPN. There is a setting to adjust the blue light, which is great for working with documents at night. There are only 2 angle settings, which poses a problem for me when I put this on a boxy monitor stand (a book at the moment). I will get a monitor mount and that will solve this problem. Best of all, my Surface Book 2 has a USB-C port, so this monitor works perfectly when plugged in directly without the included power cord. My laptop doesn't seem to drain more than usual, so it's okay if I have to wheel my desk to another room to work without an outlet. the sheet that came with the monitor to see which button is pressing what. The power button sits above the other control buttons and is very easy to press when moving the monitor or trying to use the control buttons. In my opinion this is not a very good placement, or it should be a different size and shape. It would be nice to have something on the side where those buttons are to indicate what's what without ruining the sleek look. Now I will remember her. The different connection cables supplied with the kit explain their use. I like that there is an option for a power cord in case I need more time to work. The USB-C cables (2) that come with the monitor are long enough (3 feet) to reach my Surface Book port on the right. , and it's easy enough to remove if you don't like protruding wires. All brightness and other settings will be reset to factory defaults if you unplug your laptop while it is not connected to a network. So be prepared to constantly press the side buttons to get the settings you want every time. I see - this saves battery power. Comes with an extended warranty which is great. Overall this is a great investment and once I have a monitor mount my WFH is easy to assemble and disassemble every day. Would definitely recommend to a friend and colleague.
