I was very happy with this USB monitor when I got it: great colors, picture quality, no noticeable lag (but I don't play games), plug and play. The default settings (volume and brightness) drive me nuts and I couldn't find how to save my own (didn't try very hard) otherwise the volume and brightness range suited me. in a neatly packed backpack on my motorbike, although fully protected. After the first leg of my most recent ride (I had a shorter ride that went well) it showed nothing but digital cracks when plugged in. I still give 5 stars because the customer service was fantastic. At first they refused the warranty (I had it for a little over 6 months) because they thought the screen was damaged in some way and it's not part of the warranty. However, when I expressed my dissatisfaction and disbelief at how well I had taken care of the monitor, they sent me a replacement. I almost expected it to be refurbished but I received it and I'm 99% sure it's brand new. Works fantastic (reads the notification this time to change the default brightness and volume settings). They also went to the trouble of explaining how the screen was made and what likely happened, which I really appreciated (I'm a bit of a nerd to understand such things). However, I was a little annoyed (which I expressed in my updated review) since the main purpose of such a portable monitor for me is to travel with it, mainly on the motorcycle (7 months / year) or on the plane, so in both cases I travel light and now I know I have to be very careful with it when traveling with it, probably add some extra bulk to fill it up. Then customer service gave me an extended warranty (on all parts). I still have to be careful and turn up the volume to protect the monitor when traveling and that's why I only considered upgrading to 4 stars, but such amazing customer service really deserves 5 stars, especially for a quality portable monitor overall (just not the strongest).
