Review on Yellow Jacket 46010 Brute II 4-Valve Manifold 🌡️ - Red/Blue Gauges, bar/psi - Refrigerants: R-22, R-404A, R-410A by Jim Bethea

One of the best calibration kits. Old backup manifold for professional technicians!

I have used the Brutte II and other gauge sets at work and at home for many years. I really like Yellow Jacket products. Brute II is one of my favorite calibers. The large holes (compared to other manifold rods) in the manifold really help flow, which is a big plus for a larger system. From my personal MGS this essay on rebuilding IMHO! A 4 valve manifold is what you want, you just need to pay attention and understand how they work. This is not only nice on some systems, it is a must! The kit I brought has p/t charts for R22, R404A and R410A. I bought them for home and work, 404A for work (trucks and trailers), R22 for home (until I ran out of my 30#/can't fix my unit) and I basically bought it for sensors. Now with high pressure systems like 410A knowing I will be working on this in the coming days my home unit will be on its own. Although it does annoy me for a minute from time to time, especially when I'm switching between my fourth calibration kits. I have to say it's nice to have higher pressure gauges, especially on the compound gauges, it's come in handy a couple of times, I don't know how much it really helps me but I like the extra 230 having psi to read once rather than just reading the delay. I could just swap the sensors on one of my other distributors. But it's always good to have multiple sets of gauges. Not only to work with multiple units (fleet mechanic) but also need a backup when everything is busy and you have a lot of units that need to keep working during peak season! I know some HVAC specialists like other brands about Yellow Jacket. But I don't understand why. Pretty much everything I've used/owned from Yellow Jacket has been top notch. Some of them were workshop tools, that is: they've been beaten to hell, for the most part they work just as well as my JY tools, which are important to me. Whether you are running a large system, upgrading to a 4-valve gauge block, or just want to install a quality, rugged, heavy-duty gauge. This is the one you need. It will last a lifetime if you take care of it, know how to use it properly (I assume you're looking at that set of gauges) and you won't have any problems other than parts to wear out. ie: valve kits, o-rings, etc.
