Exactly what I had in mind. Works right out of the box (easy to install, included CR 2 battery). Test area "known building distance" used for the first time - passed. The menus and other control buttons are simple and intuitive to learn in no time. (The instruction manual looks good, it's just more fun to figure out for yourself.) Small and light, easy to use and comes with an excellent travel case - a pleasant surprise! An extra strap/wrist strap is good "insurance" and a handy item to include in the kit. In my case, it won't help my golf game (since I have a limp), but it will probably improve my shot selection in the big game (which makes me less likely to screw up). Can this help me increase the number of fish caught/released stories?!? In general, a good gadget, to boot!
