I bought these because my daughter still needs floss instead of dental floss. I needed a more echo friendly solution as throwing away so much plastic was wasteful. They don't have weird taste, she doesn't seem to mind using them. However, they end up with such a sharp point. Other brands stick the tip in and then twist it out when you want to use it. This is an eyeball piercing point, not suitable for small children or travel packs. I took a pair of scissors and cut off any sharp ends for my seven year old to use safely. It may not be safe for young children, even as you try to reduce the amount of plastic on the planet.
